Our current project commissioned by the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida will be donated to the State of Florida to be placed in Tallahassee within the Capitol Complex. It's title is "Moving On" It depicts a Miccosukee family of four traveling with their belongings.
We had the honor and the pleasure of Secretary of State Glenda E. Hood, Ms. Judee L. Pettijohn Deputy Secretary of State and Lee Modica administrator Florida's Art in State Buildings Program to view the beginning of the project here at Bronze By Cooley studio in Lamont
Below you see pictures #1 and 2 are of the metal armature and wire mesh. Picture # 3 is left to right of Brad JR., Secretary Of State Glenda Hood ,Linda and Brad Sr.
My son and I were guest artist at the request of Bradley's art professor's Mr. Gardner the N. F. J .. College .The event had the 10 local high schools to compete and show there art work .We demonstrated on the child that will be with the sculpture above .As you can see we had allot of help .We enjoyed the children hands on participation by letting them lay on the first layer of clay on the armature. Then, them being able to see the sculpture in a public place and being able to say that they had helped is a reward to them and us.
Pictured below is one of the metal armatures covered with clay. Picture two is showing all armatures covered with clay. Number three The Florida Miccosukee family is starting to take shape.

These are the latest pictures of our sculpture of the Miccosukee Family honoring the Florida Native American . Picture #1 is the man of the family carrying some belongings in a sack. Picture #2 is some of the detail of his patchwork shirt. Picture #3 shows the detail of his hand. Picture #4 is the mother carrying her baby boy with the exclusive Florida Native American hair style in the form of a bonnet. The design on the bottom of the dress means crayfish the second one up is man riding horse #5 Is the baby boy in what is called a big shirt, wearing his turban that has the design for lightning on it .
